Hi I have a copy of a family letter that refers to AKERSHAUS. I posted the info on the Akers Forum on Genforum last June. You'll find that it is message # 681. Now somebody might be able to confirm or refute this. I haven't done any research in that area, except to find that there is a castle there that still bears the name AKERS and my Unlce was treated like royalty when they found he was an AKERS. They have a town center fountain and he says it is a real community and they know they are AKERS. (pronounced Awkers) They told him that many of the Vikings went to UK and into Europe trying to build an empire....long ago. Anybody else know anything?
