    1. Holland Dutch--AW-KERS
    2. Donna Hull
    3. Diana-- I've been under the impression that William of NJ was English. It has been suggested by some that he might be Quaker. I have seen no proof of either. Do you think Wm of NJ was German, then. He immigrated long before the huge migration groups of Germans came to this continent. My proven ancestor Henry AKERS b. 1801 KY or VA, had a son named Henry Francis AKERS b. 1838, d. 1837 CA. Henry Francis stated to a granddaughter-in-law that asked if his parents spoke another language. He said "Yes, but us kids never knew what it was." Henry b. 1801 m. Delilah MILLER whose father spoke German--don't know about her mother. Also could have been pig-latin :-) Donna > Donna and all, > > My granfather always told us we were "Holland-Dutch" and his father as > well > as his father's father was born in Pa.
