    3. Someone mentioned that they were searching for OK AKERS. As I am searching for some there as well, I thought I'd post what I found yesterday. Ada, Pontotoc Co., OK: Early Residents: W. S. AKERS (I believe this to be Winfield Scott AKERS) Doctors listed in the Ada City Directory in 1917 W. D. AKERS (I believe this to be William Dolen AKERS) Chas. Newton Akers (27) and Fannie Johnson (30) were married in Ada, August 11, 1901 Dr. Joel Edgar Chambers, an early day veterinarian, (b. in 1886 near Salem, Dent Co., MO) in Pontotoc County. He married Essie Lee AKERS in 1915 and they had one son, Joel R. Chambers. Civil War Veteran who resided in Pontotoc County at aone time in their life: James C. AKERS, Co. H, 19 IA - buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery (I presume in Pontotoc Co.) Students at Ada School 1901-1902(school's first year of existence): Essie Akers; Ora Akers, Dennis Akers Arlene Akers Krings -- MZ
