(adjacent county, east of Hector; Ithaca is in Tompkins Co.)= , also called the Lake Country. Possibly all that land surrounding the Fin= ger Lakes region was known as the "Lake Country." Interestingly enough, Phebe[6] Hart, daughter of Sarah[5] and Timothy[5] Hart (second cousins) married an Obadiah Akers, and they removed to that same Lake Country, wit= h Timothy[5], Israel[6], Hulda[6] and her husband, and Joseph S.[6] and his wife. I know that Timothy and Israel lived near McLean, Tompkins Co. Obadiah's parents were Jonathan and Catherine (?) Akers; but I don't know what Akers Jonathan is from.
