Hazel Lee Akers Cook, 87, Perryville, MD, died March 16, 2000, at her residence. Hazel was born March 26, 1912, in Bluefield, WV, and was the daugh- ter of the late John B. and Dora Ferguson Akers, Sr. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Cook, Sr.; and one daughter, Celia C. Cook; two brothers, John B. Akers, Jr.and Robert Akers; and three sisters, Helen Hensley, Mae Hicks and Dorothy Wilbourn. Hazel is survived by one son, Homer L. Cook, Jr.; and 1 daughter, H. Louise Leonard; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; four great-great-grand children; and one sister, Ann Peery of Bluefield. Hazel's burial was in Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley, WV.
