    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: davidakers78 Surnames: Akers Classification: immigration Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.akers/256.263/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Bob: Please be refered to genealogical listings by Earl B. Akers and myself giving roughly 8000 members of the akers family. pages.suddenlink.net/akersgenealogy Earl's listing covers descendants of a william akers who settled in Virginia about 1650 to 1700. My listing covers some descendants of a William Akers who initially settled in the N. J. area around 1650 to 1700. The immigration records that I have found show that most Akers immigrants were from England. My efforts to trace the Akers lines back into England have not been successful. Best Wishes.
