Born 8 Oct 1915, at Princeton, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura Williams. She had lived her entire life for the exceptions for these last few months at 704 Princeton Avenue. She ws a graduate of Princeton High School. She was a very active member of the Burke Memorial Baptist Church on Thorn Street, a member of the Women's bible class and had served on various committees within the church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and sister. Her hobbies included reading and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Akers; two sisters, Nellie Noell and Ona Smith; and one brother, Fred Williams. Survivors include one son, Richard "Rick" Akers and wife Sarah of Charlotte, North Carolina; and one brother, Jack Williams of Roanoke, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road, Princeto! n. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Princeton.
