Whie I can't prove it, I believe Valentine and Solomon were either Blackburn's brothers, his nephews, or cousins --- not his sons. They were all listed as adults in the 1787 tithables in Montgomery County. William Akers who married Nancy Sowers lists Blackburn as his father in the marriage record.
