Hello Lois & Arlene, I, too, am looking for parents & birthplace of my earliest Akers ancestor, William Akers who was born abt. 1800/1801 in VA or KY. He had two known brothers, John who married Patsy McQuire & Henry who married Delilah Miller. My William married Perdelia Pitman in Clay County, KY in 1824 & had 11 known living children mostly in Estill County, KY area. Their 4th child - 3rd son is my great grandfather, John Jones Akers who married Amanda See in 1853 in Owsley County, KY before moving westward to Putnam & Sullivan counties, MO. Does anyone have any info or connection to this William Akers or either of his brothers?
