1. Thomas Blackburn Akers, Jr.
2. On 8 Oct 1823 Susannah Akers (d/o Valentine and Frances Branham Akers) appeared in Pike Co KY court with a bastardy claim against James Branham for a male child born 30 Apr 1823. In 1833 Thomas Blackburn Akers appeared in Floyd Co KY court to have Blackburn Akers, Jr., age 10 years, who resided with him, bound to him for training in the trade of farrier. I can't find any further reference to this Blackburn Akers, Jr. The elder Thomas Blackburn Akers married Keziah Meade on 24 Apr 1823 in Floyd Co. Susannah married Christopher Patton in Dec 1824 and I find only his children in their household. My theory is that the Junior was raised by Senior and his wife Keziah, that he was actually the son of Susannah and James Branham, and that he died some short time after the indenture, but I have no proof. Does anybody have more information about these events? Best wishes, Earl B. Akers, Sr. Puyallup WA The Banyan Tree
