Roy Akers, 89, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2000 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington. He is survived by one son, Bobby Akers and wife, Amy of Williamsburg;two daughters, Lillie Lytle of Northwood, Ohio and Alice Lytle and husband,Richard of Oregon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Donna Mahan of Williamsburg,Larry Akers of Charlotte, North Carolina, Fred Akers of Williamsburg and Michael Akers of Knoxville, Tennessee; nine great grandchildren; one sister,Edith Daugherty of Wallins Creek; one brother, Kennis Akers of Pineville;also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, March 27 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Daugherty officiating. Burial was in the Ryans Cemetery.
