Carmen-- Can't give you any particulars, but your group was started by Uriah AKERS late 1700's or early 1800's. Uriah was son or grandson (I think he was the son) of Simon AKERS of Augusta Co. Simon was s/o Simon of NJ who was s/o William, the immigrant, of NJ. You might look at "Our Kin" by W. R. AKERS & several others that are on film.
