Bloomfield is due southeast of Louisville and east of Bardstown. Funeral services for Martha Akers, 84, were Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. at Houghlin Funeral Home. Bro. Peter Zinn officiated. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. Pallbearers were Larry Gray, John Gray, Mike Gray, Jeff Gray, Russell Gray, Cecil Hess and Tevis Gray. Houghlin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
