Heidi-- I think you are talking about William AKERS of Campbell Co. According to "Our Kin" by W. R. Akers, he is probably the son of Robert who was son or grandson of the immigrant William of NJ. There are other theories, but his book seems to agree with the records I have personally researched. There was also a William AKERS of Franklin Co. who was the son of Simon II (of Augusta Co., VA). Simon II, son/o Simon I who was son/o Wm the immigrant. The 2 Williams were 2nd cousins & approximately the same age. There are several AKERS books on film at Salt Lake City. Check out their catalogue at http://www.familysearch.org You can rent those films at your local Family History Center. None of these books agree with each other much. Donna
