My husbands Akers grandparents are: William Henry AKERS b 7 Apr 1875 in IN, possible Gary (though for the life of me I can't figure out how he would be born in Gary!) He met and married Margurett Alice NORWOOD in Stillwater OK in 1900. They had 7 children; all but the last born in OK. My husband's mother Edith Laverne was born in Maricopa AZ. William died 6 Nov 1940 in Yuma AZ and Margurett d 6 Dec 1929 in Tempe AZ.
