looking for any info on the ancestors of Hansel Akers born 1919 in Wythe Co, Va area. Have been told his fathers name was Wenton Gordon Akers or Gordon Wenton Akers and his wifes name was Esther maiden name unsure of. Gravley was a possobility of her maiden name. Wenton Gordon Akers mother was an Arnold i have been told. This is all i know ANY help would be appreciated!!!!! I havnt been able to find anything on this branch of our tree.... Hello, My great grandfather was named Pose Akers. I have a copy of his Social Security Application and it states that he was born in Wytheville in 1874. Does this sound familiar to you?
