He was the s/o Ransom D.(we think thats the middle inital) Akers, d.27 Dec, 1882. Ransom was the s/o Paul Akers. My mother seems to think that Ransom's wife was Mamie however, I haven't been able to verify that. Joel Paul Akers married Eliza Jane Reeves on 31 March, 1889. Eliza Reeves, b.8 March, 1871 and d.1 Jan, 1948. She was the d/o William Reeves and Marquiet Slavens. Joel and Eliza had 11 children; Ethel, John Isaac, Elizabeth, Eva Leona, Mable Gerturde, Fanny, Alvine Walker, Paul Everett, Fred Charles, Mildred Burnett, and Edith. I hope this helps.
