Sorry.. relooked... I read it wrong... the grandmother was Polly (not Dolly) which is often nickname for Mary and if so, she's the wife of David Akers b. 1804. So, contrary to what ancestry.com said, this would mean Ned (b. 1895); son of Harry (b. 1867); son of ? maybe Andrew; great-grandson of David and Mary. They have been married about two years at this stage and are the parents of Eugene Akers. This Ned Akers was born about 1895 and appears to be son of Harry and Cosby Akers. There is a death record for Ned 6/6/1963 in Floyd Co which lists his age as 69 which is close to the 1895 date. What confused me is your statement he was born in 1869 (which is a bit old for a man to be having children in the 1930s ?). And you said he died Pike Co. This same Harry can be found living with his Grandmother, Dolly Akers in 1880 Pike Co, KY. I didn't look any further because I'm not sure this is your family given your stmt about 1869 and Pike Co for place of death.
