EArl, How do I get a copy of what you have done. I have been trying for years to link my Akers line to the Virginia line and nothing works. I don't mind if they don't belong to it, but where do they belong? That is a twenty year mystery for me. If you find a William or Benjamin Akers married to a Jane Galen in your line during the early 1800's in PA somewhere, let me know. They had my gggrandfather George Franklin Akers in 1870 in Iowa. I have everything since then, just nothing before his parents. Thanks, Diana
I have made several hundred additions to the descendant pages for William Akers I , abt 1645-1702, of (Old)Rappahannock-Essex Co VA. URL is in signature block. Best wishes, ===== Earl B. Regarding George J. Akers b. 15 May 1799 in New Jersey. Do you have any evidence that would show George living in Hamilton/Butler County, OH or Indiana before moving on to IL?
Hi Donna, just wanted to wish you good luck in your continued research on the Akers'. Donna Weppler, Fresno
Seeking any information on the following family. John, Henry & Wm were all in Estill Co., KY in 1820 census. Henry left c1829. Other 2 stayed in Estill area, but would live in other counties as they were formed from Estill. It is believed they lived near St. Helens, presently in Lee Co., KY. John served in War of 1812. There may be a connection between these Estill Co. AKERS & the AKERS of Pulaski Co. I would like to make contact with a researcher of that family so we can compare notes. Also would like to exchange with descendants of Simon AKERS & Mary SMITH who m. in Greenbrier Co., VA & moved c1798 to Highland Co., OH area. Simon d. c1826. will left everything to wife Mary. I hope no one will take this as a criticism, but rather as a tip. When posting an obituary or other historical note, when it is available please include the State and County information. This would be so helpful. Thank you for these postings. Who knows somewhere down the line when this will be exactly the piece of information someone searching their Akers line will be needing. Best wishes, Cathy

What is in this Digest? I am curious about it. Can someonw fill me in? Thanks, Diana Akers Knowles
Diana- Andrew Jackson Akers was born in 1829. His siblings were born to 2 different mothers and range from ca 1800-10 to the last, Flavius Josephus, in 1831. Their father was William Akers, who appears to be the one to move the family there quite early in Illinois' history. The first mother is unknown but appears to be dead by 1820 and buried in Shawnee twp., Gallatin co., Ill. The second wife was Elizabeth Todd, likely of Ky., died between 1831-40. I know only very little about William. He was there by 1809, died in 1841. Let me know if I can help further. Good luck~Joni
Who were Andrew's parents? I have been trying to place a few of my relatives and it is possible that my Akers were in Illinois at the time that Andrew was born. Let me know. Thanks Diana Akers Knowles

I am the second great grandson of the second daughter Sarah Acker, most of her descendants are now in the UK. Are any descendants of Catherine, Sarah, Oliver, Henry, Maria Henrietta, Lewis Jr, Mary Ann and William out there? Also any descendants of the second marriage of Lewis to Jane Stuart from Tasmania?
