    3. Hi Sharon, There are quite a few listings for HULL, JOHN and because it's an index it lists only head of household, those with a different surname in house, etc. They are listed in many counties. I did find an AKERS, DAVID 48 male, white, b.NY Coles County, Locality: N Okaw twp. If you want a list of the HULL, JOHN, I can sent it to you. Let me know. 3. Hi Arlene! Would you see if you can find a John HULL, wife Margaret, and children: Rebecca, Samuel, John, James, and Cyrus? Also a David G AKERS, wife Nancy P, and children: Hannah C, George, and Emeline. I find them in the 1860 census for Adams County but lose them after that. And, if these names are familiar to anyone else out there, please let me know! E-mail is: shalis@eoni.com Thanks! 3. I have the book "The Halls of Floyd county, Kentucky. It was written by Carmel Lee Akers. The book contains the families of Akers, Hall, Frasure, Newsome, and Hamilton. These families are all intermarriaged on the heavy side. The book is about 1600 pages. The Akers book is about the same book only starts at a different point. A lot of the information is handed down verbally. I have found the book to be about 70% to 80% accurate with some fairly good stories about some of the people's lives. People for Floyd county are angry at Carmel Lee Akers for publishing the book without their permission and listing fact and stories about their families which cannot be verified by relatives. The book has been helpful with some families, but not much help with most of the members of Blackburn Akers or family before him. The book is possibly worth around $85.00 to $90.00 to me, I do not intend to buy one. Carmel Lee Akers has only been after money in his research of the Akers family has gone out of his way not to help others of the family with their research. I have research the Akers family for only 10 years and have a data base of 10,000 people so far. My data is free to anyone who wants it in exchange for information they might have. The data is on Family Tree Maker 6.0. If you are interested let me know. My fathers name is Earl Manford Akers. Collecting information of the Akers family is a hobby not a way to make money. My goal is to collect all the information about the family, then spread it around as much as possible so that the information will never be lost.
