At one time I tried to find a Thomas Akers born in Maine in about 1770, without success. Family stories say that he may have been born in Belfast, Ireland. My idea had been that he might have been born in Belfast, Maine, since his wife, Martha Mitchell, was from Maine. They both died in Louisiana -- Thomas in 1815, and Martha in 1819. Is Thomas a name that appears in your Maine Akers line at all? -- Mark James <tmark@geocities.com>

    2. This is info I had that someone asked for. I don't have any dates or I would have been happy to include them. I don't connect to these lines but sometimes little snatches of information can give someone a lead and/or rule out some others. I understand the need for source documentation but when I started I didn't keep sources on family's I didn't think belong to my line. Instead of answering the person directly to their mailbox I post in case someone else can add to it or is interested. Pattie

    3. Valentine, Solomon and Blackburn are listed in the Montgomery County, Virginia 1782 Tax List or Census. Valentine and Solomon are the children of Blackburn. Solomon is mentioned in his grandfather's (John Blackburn???) will. William Akers is Blackburn's father, but I don't believe the William mentioned by Pheonixrayne@aol.com. This William is supposewdly the William of Franklin County, VA. Blackburn's father lived in Amelia County (I Think????) Got to get my records out. I am a descendent of Blackburn and of Nathaniel from the below line. Trying to figure the AKERS out is a mess. Dan Fisher Phoenixrayne@aol.com wrote: > Debbie, William Akers m. I was posting several Daniel's for someone else. I looked to find what you wanted.
