Jenell, You may want to try the United States Geological Survey website. Once there, choose the geographic names section and submit your query: Dines WY mine sweetwater etc. I did. It came back with about four coal mines on the 7.5' map sheet named Reliance. You can also display the map and aerial photography. this URL should take you right to the form to submit the query: http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html If that doesn't work, go to www.usgs.gov and work in from there. ----- Original Message ----- From: <JPharissra@aol.com> To: <AKERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2000 1:10 PM Subject: Wy > Hi every one > I am searching for information on a Coal Mine in Dines, WY, believe to be > in the county of Sweetwater. He did know that it was in the valley of the hills in that area, and as a kid in the winter time, they had to walk a good mile over the hills to get to the bus stop....any info on this coal mine, would be appreciated. Also, if you know of a website that might have any info , such as a map etc. Thank you jenell
