My original post was 3 1/2 years ago. I do still have the file. It had gotten shuffled around and disorganized, so I finally used a binding machine to put all the pages together. I doubt they are in the original order, but it really doesn't matter. If you would be willing to pay for the postage, I'm guessing somewhere around five dollars, it's yours. I'll me glad to know that a descendant is getting this copy. Bill Kretzer Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I've not found any evidence for it yet. William Clement Akers (m. Polly Coe) was listed as having been born in New Jersey on the 1850 Federal census. This is the same area where John and Martha Akers lived and I believe their son, William Sr. (revolutionary war veteran) was William Clement's father. I believe that the name Akers is English in origin and not German. Everything that I have read about it suggests this. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This was the topic in the November 2007 Akers family mailing list (see the archives for that month). My best guess is that William Akers is the son of John and Martha Akers of New Jersey and was a revolutionary war veteran. He has pension papers. William's sister Alice (m. John Abbott) and Abbott also has a revolutionary war pension that lists all of John and Martha's children. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
