There were 3 sons from the line of Joel Chitwood from Patrick Co, VA who settled in Jasper Co, MO, but cannot find name of Zella's late husband. ---1900 Census Jasper Co, MO, Galena Twp, ED 32-8-72 (155-160): Mary A. Chitwood 10 GD b Mar 1890 MO(MO-MO). Do you think Zella Chitwood's maiden name was Thomas instead of Akers? She said in 1900 census that her father was born in NY, while the Akers children's father was born in Missouri. Mary A. is the mother of both. The dates are off a little in the following 1880 census, but a possibility: ---1880 Census Jasper Co, MO, Joplin Twp, ED 74-25-38 (222-223): C. N. Thomas 38 Clothing? b 1842 NY(NY-NY), M. A. I dont know anything about Nolan's children (I believe that there is a girl who lives in Princeton). She may be nolan's sister.
