I am thinking that this was a descendant of Claibourne Akers, Born 1871, Floyd Co. Ky, Died abt 1864 Van Zandt Co. TX. It was stated that the hog pulled the cart from Poteet all the way to Dallas. I have lost the picture and was wondering if any one on the list has a copy of it that could send it to me. TODAYS HYMN : SWEET, SWEET SPIRIT APRIL FOURTH IN TWO THOUSAND NINE There's a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place, And I know that its the Spirit of the Lord. There are sweet expressions on each face, And I know they feel the presence of the Lord. Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly Dove, Stay right here with us, filling us with Your love. And for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise. Without a doubt we'll know that we have been revived When we shall leave this place. The author of this spirit filled hymn was Doris Akers. The musical contribution is attributed to Doris Akers. The scriptural foundation of the hymn is Galatians 5:22. This hymn was copyrighted in 1990 by Manna Music. Should anyone have any AKERS family genealogy that would be of interest to our HYMNOLOGY membership, you are cordially invited to share a bit of her lineage for our list at anytime. Should anyone choose to make a comment about this hymn OR perhaps how it has afected you, make sure to send something to our list address thats given below.
