He told Dan Sutherland, Alaskas delegate in Congress, that he wanted to be burned and his ashes thrown from the Arlington Bridge on the Potomac River to drift down the river to the sea. As you read, the ashes are drifting or settling on the bottom of the Potomac mud. Where is the featherless biped, formerly called Conrad Siem? That is the important question. Has he also gone on floating down the river of time out into the sea of eternity. Or will he come back to be a pioneer and philosopher once more?
