Is anyone able to help me locate my gg-grandfather in Lancashire? In 1854 he was living in Much Hoole, near Preston (no precise address, I ’m afraid), so the 1851 census entry could have looked like this: John Ainsworth, 33, unmarried, gamekeeper By 1861 he had married the mother of his illegitimate son, so an entry might look like this: John Ainsworth, 43, married, gamekeeper Elizabeth Mary Ainsworth, 34, wife, b. St Pancras, Middlesex John Morris Rawes, 14, son, b. St Pancras, Middlesex John Ainsworth’s father was another John Ainsworth, gamekeeper - so I’d be grateful for any sightings of him, too.
