Ainsworth, serving in Company G, 37th Regimental Infantry, also known as Yancey's Guards of Smith County, MS. This S. Ainsworth was a private, I did not see anyone else that might have been him in the Ainsworth listings. You did not say where he was from, but if he was from MS, then perhaps this might be him. I do not know of a Spencer Ainsworth from that area, however, I am not an authority on the Ainsworths of Smith County. Just thought I would give you this info, just in case.
