Do you have any certificates or anything that definately confirms the marriage date or any dates of birth? Incidentally, the FRC is the Family Records Centre. It's in London, and it houses the huge tombs that catologue the births, deaths and marraiges registered since 1837 in the UK. Well, that's when they started to centrally record them, anyway, but a number of births went unregistered because it never became an offence not to till - well I think it was - 1872. It was around then anyway. They have a copy of the IGI, and they now also have 42 computer terminals just given over to researching the 1901 cencus - that's when they can get the site working! That aspect of things, I think is a bit of a ripoff, if you ask me. They also have research facilities for Wills, as well as all the records for our cencus returns. It's a great place, but very crowded sometimes. It's where you go if you want! to order birth, death and marriage certificates in person. It's easier and cheaper to go there in person for this purpose rather that send away for them if you live in the London area. But going back to Martha Aisworth, all I know about mine is a record I found of her in the IGI with reference to her marriage to Mathew Townend. It doesn't give mention to any other details at all, and I just keep hitting brick walls in my efforts to get more info on her! Anyway, I'll keep my eye open for your Ainsworths! Happy hunting! Jan
