Where do you live? I live in Preston Lancashire England. I will be brief for now as I am not a computer expert and it would take me ages to type in all my information. My Great grandmather was Mary Ainsworth. Daughter of William Ainsworth and Ann Ainsworth. I think William was the brother of Thomas Ainsworth. I have the 1881 census listing for William and Thomas Ainsworth's families. Also a joseph Hume Ainsworth. I also have the 1851 census as follows. 1851 census of Stockton on Tees. HO 107/2383 Folio 692/693 AINSWORTH Thomas 49 YKS Rothwell. Mary 51 NBL Byal(Bywell?) ST Peters William 21 " Newcastle Thomas16 Durham Gateshead These were on Folio 693 AINSWORTH Joseph 16 NBL Newcastle " Harriet 13 YKS Thornaby I know that William on the 1851 census is William Henry Father of Mary my Great Grandmother. I have his Baptism found in the vital records. ALL SAINTS Newcastle upon Tyne William Henry Ainsworth bap 30.8.1829 son of Thomas Ainsworth and Mary FHL No 1068963 1828-1836 Thomas Stobart Ainsworth Bap 25 Sep 1830 son of above. I will get back to you very soon with the 1881 census details on which I found the two Sarah E Mother and Daughter. I have the Marriage certificate for my GGrandmother Daughter of William and Ann Ainsworth. They were married Sept 30th 1877. So in the 1881 census Mary was married and appeared in her own Household. Mary Ainsworth married William Seery a Builder from Ainderby Steeple in The North Riding of Yorkshire. William's Father was a John Seery also a builder. Mary Ainsworth's father was given as William Henry Ainsworth. Also present was a John Charles Prince I asume the best man and Elizabth Ainsworth Mary's sister I think. As I said earlier I have more information in the form of the 1881 Census of all families. I omitted to say that my Grandmother was Jessie Seery born November 1877 according to her birth cert. In the 1881 census the transcriber had the then Seery family listed under Sury. A transcription error. Not the only error I have found. My Mother Helen Elizabeth Swift formerly Ryan was the daughter of Jessie Ryan formerly Seery. My Mother died March 2001. Her brother Francis! Joseph died December 2001. It was when I was registering Francis death that I found in his birth entry which was in Clydebank Scotland 1915 that my Grandparents had married in Stockton ON Tees and that my Grandmother was Jessie Seery. These two were the last of my family on my Mother's side.I have a cousin in Canada Winnepeg Manitoba who is my Mother's elder sister Mary Patricia Farrell formerly Ryan's son. So I am delighted to hear from someone connected to my Grandmother's family. I never met her as she died in 1944. I was born Nottingham England in 1947. So Pip I will be in touch again with the other information if you would like it. Let me know what you have please. It is Okay to contact me directly by e-mail if you wish.
