Regarding your Lott Ainsworth who married in Menard Co., TX. Our Asa Ellis and his wife Mary Ann Ainsworth moved to Menard Co., TX before 1870. Asa Ellis died there in 1883. They were on the 1850 census in Conecuh County AL. In 1860 they should be in Leon Co., TX but they are not on the census. I have not been able to place her with an Ainsworth family. Could she be related to Lott??? They were from Conecuh / Butler Co., AL.
