According to he book, "Genealogy of Ainsworth Families in America", compiled by Francis J. Parker in 1894, Thomas was born July 24, 1826 in Lisbon, NY. Wife was Semira Wilson born August 5, 1832 in Kittey, Canada. At the time the book was written, they were shown as living in Flint, Michigan. Their children were listed as Charles, Edwin, Hiram, Adda, Anna, Truman, Lester, Chauncy, Chester, Adelbert, George, William, and Frederick. George Ainsworth was born in 1872 in Flackville, NY to Thomas and Semira Ainsworth. According to "The History of the Mohawk Valley" Vol IV, his parents moved from New York to Michigan when he was a child. George attended school in Flint, and went back to New York in 1890 when he was 18 yrs old. In 1895 he married Grace Abbott of Forestport, NY. I found an old newspaper clipping in some papers of my grandmother's telling of George ainsworth's death on Sept 2, but no year. If any of this information rings a bell with someone, I would love to know more about this family, especially the year that George passed away and more info on Thomas.
