Hello, I'm looking for the siblings and parents of Almeda Ainsworth. She married Warren Welch in Washington Co. Ga in 1844. Warren Welch was buried at Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile Alabama 1n 1851, age 37. I cannot locate Almeda Ainsworth and her husband in 1850. I suspect she remarried. If she had children by Warren Welch, I would like to investigate the possibility that one might be my unknown Welch _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Posted on: AINSWORTH Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/a/i/AINSWORTH/queries/8 Surname: Ainsworth ------------------------- Am trying to trace my maternal grandmothers line. My g-grandmother was Caroline Ainsworth, married to John Moffitt, born about 1850 in Santa Rosa, Somona, California. Supposedly her father disappeared in the Gold Rush. No idea his name. Her mother later remarried a man last name Starkey. No idea their names. Her mother was a mormon, but no information in the LDs site that is very helpful. Any info appreciated.
Is anyone able to help me locate my gg-grandfather in Lancashire? In 1854 he was living in Much Hoole, near Preston (no precise address, I m afraid), so the 1851 census entry could have looked like this: John Ainsworth, 33, unmarried, gamekeeper By 1861 he had married the mother of his illegitimate son, so an entry might look like this: John Ainsworth, 43, married, gamekeeper Elizabeth Mary Ainsworth, 34, wife, b. St Pancras, Middlesex John Morris Rawes, 14, son, b. St Pancras, Middlesex John Ainsworths father was another John Ainsworth, gamekeeper - so Id be grateful for any sightings of him, too. [By the way, the John Ainsworth aged 72, gamekeper at Portico Lane, Prescot in 1881 ISNT mine!] TIA for any connections! Margaret Southgate (mlfhs 12748) South Wales msouthgate@ouvip.com

Looking for any information on Millard Fillmore Ainsworth Born- 1888 ( ?) , Port Leyden, NY, does this name look familiar to anyone?
Here is an excerpt of the AINSWORTH information in my database. My interest lies more towards the LEWIS family (on which I would gladly accept any tips or clues), but I am offering this information to the AINSWORTH researchers in the hope that it will help you (and possibly me). See daughters, Susan and Mary (Nancy) Lewis (individuals 2 and 3), who married AINSWORTH men. Kim FIRST GENERATION 1. Thomas Winthrop LEWIS was born in 1747 in Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT. He resided in 1820 in T/Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY. When Thomas Winthrop Lewis came to the Town of Pompey, he took up about a 300 acre tract of land in the town. He signed a will on 22 Jun 1831 in T/Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY. He died on 27 Jun 1831 in T/Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY. He was a teacher. He was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Madison Co., NY. He was married to Hannah JOHNSON. Hannah JOHNSON was born in 1746 in Litchfield or Newington, CT. She died on 28 Jun 1830 in T/Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY. She was a housekeeper. She was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Madison Co., NY. Thomas Winthrop LEWIS and Hannah JOHNSON had the following children: +2 i. Susan LEWIS. +3 ii. Mary (Nancy) LEWIS. +4 iii. Electa B. LEWIS. +5 iv. Thomas Johnson LEWIS. +6 v. Polly LEWIS. +7 vi. William Russell LEWIS. +8 vii. Benjamin DeLope LEWIS. SECOND GENERATION 2. Susan LEWIS died before 22 Jun 1831. She was married to Elihu AINSWORTH. The last will and testament of Thomas Winthrop Lewis does not mention his daughters Nancy Lewis and Susan Lewis, both of whom married Ainsworth men. However, he does name as heirs and next of kin the following individuals: Ezra Ensworth, Florenza Ensworth (wife of Benjamin Pierce), Susannah Ensworth, and Nancy Newkirk (wife of William Newkirk). The parents of these heirs and next of kin were not identied. Therefore, until further evidence is obtained, I have grouped them as follows: Children of Mary (Nancy) Lewis - Nancy, Ezra and Florenza; child of Susan - Susannah. Susan LEWIS and Elihu AINSWORTH may have had the following children: 9 i. Susannah ENSWORTH died after 1 Aug 1831. Susannah Ensworth was named in the will of Thomas Winthrop Lewis. 3. Mary (Nancy) LEWIS died before 22 Jun 1831. Mary (wife of N.) Ensworth was among the list of members in full communion in the Congregational Church in Canterbury of 22 Dec 1847. Se was admitted in 1823. The Delops attended the same church. She was married to Nehamiah AINSWORTH. Nehamiah AINSWORTH was also known as Nehemiah Ensworth. Nehemiah Ensworth was amon the members in full communion in the Congregational Church in Canterbury, Connecticut, on 22 Dec 1847. He was admitted in 1831. Mary (Nancy) LEWIS and Nehamiah AINSWORTH may have had the following children: +10 i. Nancy ENSWORTH. 11 ii. Ezra ENSWORTH died after 1 Aug 1831. Ezra Ensworth was named in the will of Thomas Winthrop Lewis. +12 iii. Florenza ENSWORTH.
