Brief summary is >From the Greensburt Daily News Mondy Feb.1925 Charles I Ainsworth died sunday he was born in Nicholas county KY in Aug 5 1843.He parents where a Tillman and Nancy West Ainsworth.His father came to Decatur in 1855. In 1863 the family moved to St. Elmo, Ill where his father died in 1887 and mother in 1885(it does not mention his parents names) He married a Rachel M Kitchin sept 13, 1865 and in 1867 settled on a farm in Jackson twp .He was an Oddfellow,a Mason and a former commander of Post No.5,G.A.R..He is survived by 8 children Dr. Charles B.,Ira M.,Mrs. Watson(clara) Gilmour, Mrs. Jacob (Jessie) Scherer, Mrs Clint(grace) Edkins, all of this county: and Wayne T., at home and.......then the page is cut off. I hope all is well and the research is going well. I've just come to the library to pick up my emails and found your messages. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. While I was here and sitting next to the machine used to look up births, deaths and marriages, and it stood empty for 15 minutes, I thought I'd have a quick look in the marriage index for the marriage of Rachel Horn and John Ainsworth from the September quarter of 1882 to the March quarter of 1883, but there was no sign. There were John Ainsworths mostly with a second name, but no Rachal Horn at all, let alone one that match up with a John Ainsworth. I know the IGI has mistakes in it, but I'm wondering if Rachal was not actually Rachal's first name, or maybe, not even a registered name at all, maybe just a baptismal name given after registration? The same could go for John Ainsworth, of course, too. If you come up with anything, I'll be happy to look again and see if I can find a reference for their marriage. This might be a springboard for you onto other resourses, like parish registers. Regards Jan

Dear All: Here is the latest alert issued today. It's a Level Three Alert. Note that this worm looks like it's coming from Microsoft with instructions to install. One of the Security houses also found that a version of this could be executed without activating the attachment. So download your AV patches ASAP. If the virus can activate without execution of the attachment then the thought that you are protected by not executing attachments is false. Note that these virus are not being transmitted through Rootsweb but are coming from people that you know and have your address in their email program.
