Hello to the AINSWORTH list, Re: PATTISON/PATTERSON, CONYERS, AINSWORTH, MYRICK, HERRINGTON, PARKER, LEWIS, BAZAR?, LEA & LEE, JENNINGS, WILLIAMS, EARLE, HOLBROOK, etc. 1600s Virginia, Christian County, Kentucky, Simpson County, Mississippi, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana Interested in any information on the family of J(e)annett(e) ?/PATTERSON, wife of Wm. AINSWORTH, b: 1690, (of Virginia,) d: 1759, and whether or not it is possible that this is the same woman named J(e)annett(e) PATTISON/PATTERSON, b: in or abt. 1706 I believe in Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia, (parents: unknown,) who married 1st known husband, (Captain) Henry CONYERS, (perhaps sometimes seen as CONNERS,) as his 2nd wife, prior to her marriage to Randolph "Randol(l)" HOLBROOK, with whom she had a daughter, Elizabeth HOLBROOK, born: abt. 1733 in Prince William County, Virginia, who married as the 2nd wife of (Major) Samuel EARLE, III after the death of his 1st wife, Anna SORRELL. (Major) Samuel EARLE, III, (s/o Phyllis BENNETT & Samuel EARLE, II, (s/o Bridget HALE(S) & Samuel EARLE, I whose 2nd wife was Mrs. Matilda ALLERTON EARLE RUST BENNETT,) (s/o Mary SYMON(D)S & (Sir) John EARLE, immigrant/Maryland>Yeocomico Parish, Northumberland County, VA,)) and Elizabeth HOLBROOK were the parents of his 2nd son named Samuel EARLE, IV, (RS,) born: January 20, 1760 at "Town Run" Plantation, Fauquier County, Virginia, died: 1845 in Mobile, Alabama, who married Tabitha WILLIAMS of North Farnham, Virginia, and they were the parents of Kitty EARLE, born: abt. 1795 in VA, who married Bailey JENNINGS, (who later married Mrs. Sarah "Sally" LEA LEE, (widow of William LEE, (s/o Needham LEE, Sr. of Simpson County, MS,) and Kitty EARLE and Bailey JENNINGS married December 1811 in Christian County, Kentucky, (later Caldwell County,) and were the parents of Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS who married as the 2nd/3rd wife of Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER, born: abt. 1795 in Maryland, (later of Copiah Co.>Smith Co.>Rankin Co. w/family to Simpson Co., MS then to Oak Grove, West Carroll Parish, LA,) who may have married 1st/2nd wife, Sarah "Sally?" BAZOR/BAZAR/BAZER in 1818 in Jackson Co., MS, (still looking to verify this,) and Sarah JENNINGS and Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER were the parents of Spencer B. PARKER who married Mrs. Rachael Moranda "Randa/Randy" LEWIS COLEMAN BRIGHT then PARKER who were the parents of my paternal grandmother, Allie Artimissa PARKER, born: 1892 in Simpson County, MS, near Braxton, who married my paternal grandfather, James Martin "Jim" MYRICK, born: 1892 near Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, (son of Harriet Katherine "Hattie" HERRINGTON, (d/o Rebecca Jane DICKENS and Isham Daniel HERRINGTON,) and Calvin Pierce "Callie" MYRICK, (s/o Phoebe Catherine HERRINGTON and William H. "Billy" MYRICK.) Allie PARKER and James MYRICK's daughter, my aunt, Ellen Grace MYRICK, married Almy Leon "PeeWee" AINSWORTH, (son of Mary Etta CONN and James AINSWORTH.) I don't know if dates, locations, known facts, etc. make the 2 women named J(e)annett(e) ?/PATTISON/PATTERSON an allowable possibility or not but if not perhaps these two women might have been related???? Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might know the possibilities. Thank you. Sincerely, Bellinda Myrick-Barnett
Hello, My aunt, Ellen Grace MYRICK, married Almy Leon AINSWORTH, son of John AINSWORTH and Mary Etta CONN. I have info on Wm. AINSWORTH and wife, Jannette/Jeannette ?/PATTERSON? And I have info on the CONN family but my main files are in computer still not yet hooked up from major move and I am on laptop. First of all, I need to find info again on how John AINSWORTH descends in the Wm. AINSWORTH group out of Simpson County, Mississippi where my MYRICK-HERRINGTON-GRANTHAM-PIERCE-LEWIS-ELLZEY-(BRIGHT)-PARKER-etc. family group was before they went to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana. Also, of great interest to me is the aforementioned Jannette/Jeannette ?/PATTERSON? and connecting Christian County, Kentucky information as I, too, through my PARKER lineage on my paternal grandmother's side descend from an obscure Jennet/Jannette/Jeannette PATTISON/PATTERSON whose grandson, my 4th great grandfather, moved from Virginia after the Revolutionary War into Christian County, Kentucky. My Jennet/Jannette/Jeannette PATTISON/PATTERSON married as the 2nd known wife to Henry CONYERS whose wife had recently died, (don't have her name,) and after the death of Henry CONYERS, Mrs. Jennet/Jannette/Jeannette PATTISON/PATTERSON CONYERS married as the 2nd known wife of Mr. Randolph "Randol" HOLBROOK and they were the parents of my paternal 5th great grandmother, Elizabeth HOLBROOK, born: abt. 1733 in, I believe, Prince William County, Virginia, and she married as the 2nd wife of (Major) Samuel EARLE, III after the death of his 1st wife, Anna SORRELL. Anna SORRELL and (Major) Samuel EARLE, III were the parents of Samuel EARLE, IV who was born in abt. 1727 and died in abt. 1752 and after the death of Anna SORRELL when (Major) Samuel EARLE, III married Elizabeth HOLBROOK and after they had several daughters, (he was in his 60s and Elizabeth in her 20s,) they also named their first born son after his father and his deceased half-brother, Samuel EARLE, IV, (RS,) born: January 20, 1760 at "Town Run" Plantation, Fauquier County, Virginia, and he was my paternal 4th great grandfather. Samuel EARLE, IV, (RS,) died in 1845 in Mobile, Alabama after moving their with his wife, Tabitha WILLIAMS, born: abt. 1766 in North Farnham, Virginia. They were the parents of Kitty EARLE, born: abt. 1795 in Virginia who married December 1811 to Bailey JENNINGS, born: abt. 1789 in Richmond County, Virginia, as his 1st wife and later after Kitty EARLE's death, Bailey JENNINGS married 2nd wife, Mrs. Sarah "Sally" LEA LEE, (widow of William LEE, son of Needham LEE, Sr. of Simpson County, MS.) Kitty EARLE and Bailey JENNINGS were the parents of Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS, born: abt. 1820, who married as the 2nd/3rd wife of Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER, born: abt. 1795 in Maryland, whose 1st/2nd wife may have been a Sarah "Sally?" BAZAR/BAZOR/BAZER who married a Jeremiah PARKER in 1818, I believe it was, and in Jackson County, Mississippi, after which time Jeremiah PARKER and his 1st/2nd wife are found with his 1st set of children in the 1830 Copiah County, MS census and then he is found with his 1st/2nd wife and his 1st set of children in the 1840 Copiah County, MS census and then in the 1850 Smith County, MS census with his 2nd/3rd wife, Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS, and his 2nd set of children which JENNINGS was the stepmother to and then in the 1870 Rankin County, MS Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER was, most likely, deceased as his 2nd/3rd wife, Mrs. Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS PARKER is found on the census there along with her natural children who were the 3rd set of children for Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER including my paternal great grandfather, Spencer B. PARKER, who married Mrs.Rachael Moranda "Randa/Randy" LEWIS BRIGHT COLEMAN and then PARKER. There are many, many marriages and family connections back and forth between the AINSWORTH, BARLOW, HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON, GRANTHAM, MYRICK, PARKER, LEWIS, HATTEN/HATTON families. I am wondering if there is anything that would prevent the aforementioned Jannette/Jeannette ?/PATTERSON/aka Mrs. William AINSWORTH from being the Jennet/Jannette/Jeannette PATTISON/PATTERSON, (who married Henry CONYERS and Randolph "Randol" HOLBROOK,) from being the same woman. At first glance, the timeframe and locations seem to make it possible and she has, so far, been totally elusive to several of us researching this lineage. Oh, my descent continues from Spencer B. PARKER and Rachael Moranda LEWIS BRIGHT COLEMAN PARKER through their daughter and my paternal grandmother, Allie Artimissa PARKER, born; 1892 in Simpson County, Mississippi, and her husband, James Martin "Jim" MYRICK, who was the son of Calvin Pierce "Callie" HERRINGTON and Harriet Katherine "Hattie" HERRINGTON. In advance, I thank you. Sincerely, Bellinda Myrick-Barnett
