Sandra, please do not resign. Can't we all just forget about the mistakes or whatevers and continue on as we always have. It is such a shame to have a breakup after working together for so long. Please let's all get back to normal and continue on as before. I for one do not want to see anyone leave the fold. Please, please let's all shout a BIG, Okay and get on with our mission. Love you all, Jinny [email protected] wrote:I'll tell you what,,,,,,,, I'll leave. I don't want to be described as a bully because I object to someone adding a husband because of the name of a child. I don't want to see parents of Walker and William and many generations for the mother, Mary Burton just because it looks good and it MIGHT fit. That is junk genealogy to deliberately mislead someone searching for information. The only place Eugenia Melissa Aills appears on Ancestry.com or WorldConnect was found because she was my greatgrandmother and I shared the information on this site, and of course it was sourced as personal research. None of us have perfect information but we search for sources and for records that support possibilities, we don't just post something because it's a guess or will lead to contacts from someone who wants to dispute the information. The misinformation might someday be deleted, it might not be, but who copied it as fact and will look back to see if it was changed or corrected? The inaccuracy will be repeated because it was found on the web. And we're supposed to accept SO WHAT? I work too hard and I've worked too long to be as accurate as I possibly can be and to provide as much information as I can find to share with this list. If it's all right with you and you defend guesses that are given as fact, and I'm accused of being a bully then you can decide who you want to take over this list. You know my email address and if you want to continue to be made aware of something I find then you can email me and I gladly add your name to my private list of researchers who work to find, share and provide accurate information. Now, the Aills list is up for adoption. Let me know who wants to take over and I'll transfer your name to Rootsweb. I hope the guessing will end for the good of other people who don't know better than to believe that they find the name of husband just because there was a child by that name. By any other name, it's still junk being posted as fact. Good luck in your digging and searching. Take care, Sandra ============================== New! Family Tree Maker 2005.
