    3. I finally found my records tonight. This is from VA. January 28th, 1808. John Ales and Elizabeth Brown. These were married by me. S. B. Wilson. That is all the note has from the court house. This is from Adams Co. Ails to Colvin, recorded December 10th, 1808. State of Ohio, Adams County. I do hereby certify that on the 24th___________ I, JW Riepel one of the justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid did join together as man and wife John Ails and Mary Colvin ______ under my hand this 28th Nov., 1808. Signed JW Rupel, JP This is from Adams Co. Ails to Vires, recorded 12th day of August 1806. June the 19th, 1806 I do hereby certify that I John Riepel one of the justices of the peace in and for the county of Adams and township of Jefferson did join together as man and wife John Ailes and Reecca Vires on the above date (meaning 6-19-1806) sign Jn Riepel Then I have copies of Marriage Records of Adams County Ohio 1797-1894 by Adams County Genealogical Society. Marriage book #1 has John Ailes and Rebecca Virs married 6-19-1806 by Jno Russell (page 25) Then on Page 66 John Ails and Mary Colvin married 11-24-1808 by Jno Russell, J.P. Then on Page 82 there is another Ails listing: John Bradford married Liney Ails 6-23-1824 by Joseph McClain. I have no Liney Ails in my records but thought someone might want this info. With no ages for John Ailes it is extremely difficult to be certain that it is our John but I am beginning to believe it might very well be. All for tonight. Hope this helps. Roberta
