Hi Jinny, Since you asked where Nicholas Aills fits in, I can tell you. He was the son of Thomas Aills and L Ann Dyal, according to information that has been provided by a Doyle researcher and was passed on to me. The Doyle researcher has Thomas' wife as Nancy Ann Dyal, the daughter of John A Dyal/Doyle and Christina Davis. He lists the children of Thomas and Nancy as Allice (Alea) Aills; Nicholas Edward Aills; Ruhanna Aills and an unknown son. In a prior post I said Arrine (Alea) Aills. Since that post I've been told that Allice is the correct spelling. Thomas and Nancy, his wife were evidently deceased by 1850 and the children were split up between Nancy's siblings. Nicholas Edward Aills, with various spelling of his name, was found in the home of Edward T. Doyle, Nancy L Ann Dyal's brother. Ruhanna was found in the home of Rebecca Doyle Reed, wife of William E. Reed. Rebecca was Nancy L Ann Dyal's sister. The child Allice (Alea) Aills or Arrine has not been found in census records. We're looking. If you need more information, let me know.
