it depends on rather you are testing the Ydna males or Mtdna female you would have to be straight line for it to show up in my case all my grandmothers on my mothers Side were American Indians that is what is meant by straight line males cannot pass on their mtdna to their off springs but the women can Case in point I cannot pass my Indian mtdna to my Children but my sisters can pass it on to both males and females but her sons cannot pass it on that is why I know that Sarah Aills was Indian she passed it down to all her children and the females passed it on to theirs. Strange but true. go on to the Fmailytreedna.com and they have lots and lots of info plus you can get dna test thru them Billy Sinor ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 13, 2005 4:47 PM Subject: [AILLS] Aills DNA > In a message dated 5/13/2005 3:57:07 PM Central Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > > >> >> Ollie McCorkle is the Daughter of James and Sarah Aills McCorkle I did >> not >> get my Indian From the McCorkles but from Sarah Aills she must have been >> close to a full blood I don't know what Tribe her parents came from but I >> have been excepted as Cherokee Her DNA came from the Ojibwa Tribe but I >> don't know if her folks was in that tribe or not . >> Billy Sinor >> > > Geewhiz, Billy, that makes me want to get involved in a DNA study of all > of > us who descend from Aills.
