I forgot to write that I took the list off moderation. I just had someone ask if it's still on moderation. Sorry, Sandra
I know the connection with the Hawthorne's and the Harris's in East Texas. Carrie Harris married a Hawthorne. They ran the Moody House in Galveston too, for years and years. It was just within the past few years that Carrie Hawthorne's daughter or daughter-in-law passed away. Email me back for more specific questions and I will try to answer them....I need to pull out my papers on the Hawthorne's. Also, very important it is the Hawthorne's spelled with an e on the end. Hello members, This list is now on moderation. First, I do apologize to you for the continuing turmoil on list the past few days. I have every reason to believe that the names of my daughters were placed on Ancestry.com intentionally and maliciously to "mess with Sandra". If I find out it was not one of those who have enjoyed "messing with Sandra" I will be the first to apologize. Second, I went to the MyFamily site and discovered that I had been removed as administrator and Liz was administrator. The action of having me removed and her placed as administrator to my own list was of course a mistake made by someone who did not have the authority to make that change at the MyFamily office. It has been corrected and Liz and one more person have been totally removed from the MyFamily site. Because of that removal from MyFamily I am fully expecting a barrage of mail to be posted to this Rootsweb list and I've used the option to place it on moderation. Your name is one that can continue to post without restriction to this list. The mail of several others will come to me and I will forward the mail to the list if it's not a continuation of the recent events. I hate that I feel it's necessary to take these steps, but I don't see another way for this to end. I did not place an additional member as guest on MyFamily. I would have absolutely no reason to want to keep her files nor restrict her from removing them. I have attempted to resolve these issues off list only to find that my private offlist email was posted to the list. I intend to remove the moderated status in a few days. I hope the moderation is not an inconvenience for you. I hope we can get back to looking for Aills in the spirit of cooperation and in aiding each other as this list and MyFamily was designed. Thanks for your consideration, Sandra
I just want everyone to know that I, too, have deleted all my postings on the MyFamily site. Last night Sandra placed Liz on "guest" status, and Liz could not post anything new or even edit or delete what she had posted in the past. She did the same thing to Pam. Liz and Pam are the owners of their postings and it is not right that they no longer had any control over them. Sandra had no justifiable reason or right to take control of what Liz, Pam or anyone else owns. I deleted my postings before Sandra took control of what I own by placing me, too, on "guest" status or disallowing me access to the site at all........she probably has that control, too. Sandra, You owe all of us an apology, but just as before that will not come. I have dealt with Ancestry.com for years, they have cleared up little glitch's here & there for me, (nothing like you has ever came up) so I do know how the people hand out advice, that and the fact that I live in Utah I know the people here (Ancestry.com's base is in Utah) & no one would ever have given you the advice to accuse the people on the site, rather, I'm sure they suggested that you, ASK if anyone put your information on the net, & then to ask them to remove it. I'm stunned with your reprehensible behavior, a woman your age should know better. You & your kind have become a cancer to the list & the MyFamily site, I tried to ignore you, I tried to forgive you, (not forget mind you, I'm not stupid) I'm a Christian & I strongly believe in forgiveness, but Lord you do make it a challenge. I have removed or I should say I tried to remove all the postings I made to the MyFamily site, but much to my surprise, I found that I could not remove my personal family tree Mary Jane Ailes & that I have been listed as a GUEST to my tree, it still shows that I'm the owner but that I'm a guest, since you or Liz are the only two that could change that status & I know Liz did not change it, that leaves me ASK why you changed it & when will you be changing it back? As it has been stated you have been asked to leave sites before, after all of the Bull that has been going on since this site started I can totally understand, There should be warning bells attached to your name. I hate that you have made it a necessary for me to write this letter, but I cannot sit idly by & watch you attack everyone around for no reason, this is the last straw. Anyone of us that would have put your information on the net would have been woman enough to put her name on it, we don't hide, & we won't lie down & take this. I did check out the My World Tree site & saw your information you spoke of, (speaking only for myself) this was the first time I had ever seen that you had 3 daughters or their names, I remember when you had your stroke you said something about staying with your daughter while you recovered, no name given that I can remember, or if there was one, I don't remember because she is living & not important to me. I work with the dead, that is what genealogy is about, dead ancestors. Most of the time I do not have time to read all the postings, so don't bother giving me dates about this posting or that posting showing that you talked about this or that, because chances are high that I did not read it. I can tolerate a lot, but you have used up your allotment for my toleration. Good luck on getting your daughters names removed, that is just wrong, perhaps you should look closer to home, somebody knows a lot more about you than the people on this site ever would know, should know, or care to know. Sandra, Do you have a guess as to whom this person may be. If you do, get it out in the open. Since we have all been accused to some extent and you seem very sure that one of us posted your private information, you might as well put all your cards on the table. Marlene
Liz, I am aware that you are an administrator on the MyFamily site. At the time I created it, I asked if you would be joint administrator with me so that someone would be able to manage the site in the event something happened to me. I have not been disappointed in the way you have helped with the administration of the MyFamily site. I have always thought and intended the MyFamily site to be a safe place where everyone could share information in privacy. If I find out that the names of my daughters were posted to a public site and the owner of the site had absolutely nothing to do with the MyFamily site, then I will be the first to apologize. It seems highly coincidental that the information on my daughters just happened to be posted on the same day as the other two new sites appeared on line. The timing is uncanny. The only thing I am asking is that the names of my daughters be removed. I don't know any person who makes the names of living persons known on a public list. I called Ancestry.com to see how I could have the names removed or how I could contact the anonymous poster. Because the poster chose to not include a screen name and wished to remain unknown the information could not be given to me BUT the lady at Ancestry.com suggested that I contact the members of MyFamily and ask that the names of my daughters be removed. I have taken her advice and am asking that the names of my daughters be removed from their public anonymous site. Sandra
Sandra, Their names were not listed on the my family site..... The only people who could have known that kind of information would have to be someone that knows your personal information. You say that you created that site...... well I paid for it.... I am telling you that this is an insult to every member of the site to take this kind of crap from you. Get a grip.... The information posted to OFT was NOT taken from that site.... What is the matter with you ? I certainly hope whoever did it will fix it. So you will leave us alone. I meant what I said about not not ruining the site..... That certainly includes you. You owe us an apology...... But I will not hold my breath. Sandra, I took a look at MYFAMILY and One World Tree. I just don't see how that your daughters information could have come from there. If you look closely the last names of your posting to MF site and the last names on OWT are totally different. It lists them by their married names. It was a surprise to me that you had ever been married to anyone besides a Mr.Zenger. I had just asssumed that your daughters maiden names were also Zenger. We have never shared personal information like that. I don't know if you have shared that info with other members of the site or list....... You may want to rethink this. The MYFAMILY site means quite a bit to me. I would certainly hope that information from this site would never be used to hurt anyone. I am also an administrator. This site is to me a safe haven for us to share everything from recipes to sweet family stories. I assure you that I would moderate, muzzle or unsubscribe any one that tries to turn MF site into something as disfuntional as this list has become. This cat fight as you call it has been over for some of us for a while. I also know that some of us involved in that disagreement are not vendicive sneeks who lurk behind a veil of secrecy. That is not our style...... When we offend anyone by posting info.... We slap our names all over it !!!! I have become aware in the past two days that there are three new sites on OneWorldTree that contain the Aills surname. Not only that, but 2 sites have the owner listed as "Unknown" and there is no password to contact the poster of the information. All three sites coincidently appeared on the same day. One of the anonymous sites has my name, Sandra Jo King, d/o Thomas Ezekiel King Jr., and it includes the names of my three daughters. I consider this to be mean spirited and vindictive and directly caused as a result of the recent cat fight. My name is public information and it's really not a big deal if I am identified as the daughter of Thomas Ezekiel King Jr and if the information that I descend from James Wesley Aills is posted to a public site. That information is only known to Aills researchers. But it is a real cheap shot to publicly post the names of my three daughters. The only place their names were known was on the MyFamily site where I placed a picture of me and them and identified them by name. Whoever you are, who chooses to be Unknown and cowardly hides behind a blank where a screen name is usually placed, would you be big enough to remove the names of my daughters from your information. You can leave my name if you feel justified and it makes you happy. This cat fight has gone on long enough and it's becoming way too personal. Everyone is aware that I don't appreciate private information being posted to a public site so posting the names of my daughters is intentional malevolence. Yes, this has made me angry. Justifiably so. Sandra

I wouldn't want anyone to feel like their participation or contribution in this joint effort to increase all of our knowledge is not appreciated and has not been helpful to the whole. Everyone deserves credit and thanks for their hard work in sharing information they've found in courthouses, DAR libraries, LSD libraries, cemeteries, old family Bibles, old documents, old letters, old photographs, personal phones calls, online searches and a myriad of information and for sharing them with all of us and making this a good team. No matter how seldom or how short the posts of the Aills researchers on this list and those on the MyFamily site, each contribution is appreciated and has added information we didn't have. Even though you don't have a direct line to Aills other than to James Wesley Aills' wife's sister your searches on all the Aills and your sharing the profits of those searches has been beneficial to all of us. This has been a good team with MANY members who are excellent researchers. Thanks for recognizing and acknowledging that. Sandra
