I am looking for information on the McElroy family that lived in or near Wynne,Arkansas from l850 forward. I have some information to share but am paticularly looking for any information on Licargus McElroy b. l850 or l85l in St.Francis county to parents John and Mary Stevenson McElroy. He is my husband's greatgrandfather. He had two sons b. l876 and l878 named William Gideon and Levi I. We have been told that another family possibly raised the two boys and have info. that their Mother was named Emily or Emma Nelson.
