(Sorry Jan, but I thought people might be able to use this info) There are numerous online sites that offer free email, but one of the most useful I've found is www.visto.com. Visto offers much more storage space, so if you are gone on vacation or whatever, and do want to receive your emails, you can do so. Course, you still have to deal with them when you return, but you can always delete them. In fact, you can use the Select All function to delete them all at once if you want. Visto has many other features. You can place files there that others can access via a password you provide. This could be used for gedcom files, or whatever. They offer 15MB of free space for your personal files, and 25MB for each group you create. You can create your own Message Board, upload photos, etc, etc. This is starting to sound like an ad for Visto, so I better clarify that I'm just an end user, and am not connected with Visto in any other way. I hope this helps someone! ~Ray Shoemaker >From: Bill Woodard <billwood@mail.utexas.edu> >To: AGS-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [AGS] Re: e-mail >Date: Thu, 15 Jun 2000 09:23:37 -0500 > >Hey folks, don't be too quick to condemn people for leaving the list. This >is vacation time of year, and many people are leaving for a couple of >weeks.
