September 17, 1904 Van Buren Press Van Buren, Crawford County, AR William Sage, a week-minded individual, was arrested on a farm near town Saturday by Constable Smith on a bigamy charge. Sage, it is claimed, has no less than six living wives form none of which he has a divorce. His last matrimonial venture was made during strawberry season in Fort Smith and so he was taken over there for the hearing. Justice Sam Edmondson turned him loose, telling him to put a curb on his passion for marrying without first procuring a divorce.
