My brick wall is Hugh Smith and Ellender Johnston Smith, there were known to be in Polk County, MO at the time of the 1850 Federal census. Nothing is known about either of them until a church record that Ellender Smith was "removed" from a church near Holland, Arkansas. I believe the name of the county is either Lonoke or Faulkner, about 1880. They may have had one known child: James F. Smith born about 1850, and two children: Martha I. Smith and John Smith, from a previous marriage of Hugh Smith to a Martha Looney. I will deeply appreciate any and all help in finding this long lost family. Judy Smith/Colorado
