    3. Jean, You may get military records from the National Archives. They have special forms that you must use depending upon which war the veteran served in. Check the NARA.gov website and you can print off one of the forms, but it might not be the correct one that you will need for WW I veteran. There is Form 85, Form 86, etc. If the one you may print is not the correct one, you may request them to send you the correct form from their website. It will take about a month to get the form via mail, but you must use their form, so be patient. That is one thing that family history/genealogy research teaches us......Patience! Good Luck, Kathy
