    3. Fellow Arkansas researchers: The National Archives has recently made a lot of its indexes and abstracts to the records of World War II Army service men and women available on its website. Here is the web address: http://aad.archives.gov/aad/title_list.jsp Many of these records were destroyed in a fire at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis in the early 1970s. You might be able to locate information from this website that was though to be lost. I just located information on my father who served in World War II. Thanks to Jan Davenport for this good information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Russell P.
