The head is Thomas (Tom) Sanders and wife Maranda (sp). Children: Leola, Effie, Rosa Lee, John L, Bessie, J.C. and Raymond. I know they were there, I just can't seem to find them on the census. There were other children: Manning, Bertha, Katie and Lutenia but they had left the household by then (actually, I found Manning (whose last name was Bell) on the 1920 Lafayette County census with his wife Clara and children George and Hazel). < Hi: Did you spot the Sanders message below that is on the Miller list?. It is not your e-mail address. Regards, Nan [email protected] ========================== BELL, LAWRENCE, MAXIE, MAYES, MCDOWELL, MINNER, SANDERS posted by Minister Louise Sanders Asher (Email: [email protected] ) on Sunday, November 29, 1998 (Her address the previous Sept was: [email protected]) Looking for the name SANDERS. My father's family lived in Texarkana, sometime between 1920 and 1940. His father's name was Tom, who would have been around 80 years of age in 1930. His wife's name was Miranda, who we estimated to be born around 1863-1865. The children were all born after 1895. There names were Lutinie, Leola, John L, Raymond, Effie, Rosa Lee, and Bessie. Step children were Katie (last name unknown) and Manning BELL (who were born in the late 1880's). Also, other names associated with the family were, John LAWRENCE (Effie's husband), Morris MAYES (Katie's husband) Jewel MCDOWELL (Raymond's wife), Mcallister MINNER (Rosa Lee's husband), Sam MAXIE (Bessie's husband), Maurice Minner, Hazel Bell and George Bell (brother and sister). The bulk of the family moved to the westcoast in the early 1940's. Any and all help will be appreciated.
