    3. Per the posting below: I cannot say that this is true for all cases, but my great-great grandfather Koon served in Tennessee, and he received his pension from Arkansas - I have the records. I was told that it was the state in which you resided and my great-great grandfather had lived in Arkansas for decades at the time he applied for his pension. Hope this helps.
