Polly: sorry, very few "school records" of any kind have survived in Arkansas. All school matters before the 1920's and later were handled by local school boards. These local board did not pass any of their records along to the state archives. The state did not begin certifying teachers until much later. This was done at the county level. What county are you interested in and what time period? In Arkansas almost all records are on the county level. Russell P. I am particularly interested in Searcy County. Also, is there a record in the State Department of Education of teachers who were certified to teach these schools and a history of their assignments?
