Charlene, your story made me think of several stories I remember my parents telling. My father as a young man was one of the folks called on to prepare the body for burial. This had to be in the 1920s, everyone in the area had their "specialty" in times of need. My Dad was born in Clay, CO. AR. a big timber area in his time and now. He had a half brother killed in a logging accident, no records of the incident or where he was buried in the area. I do research in IN also, and have found several deaths with no records left. My ggrandfather died there in some sort of epidemic in 1898. The story passed down in the family is that all the folks who died during this epidemic were buried in a common grave. I have checked for both deaths in courthouses, newspapers, death records, with no luck. Some things just go with the business of Genealogy research. Good hunting, Gwen
